English language requirements

Studies at UNIC and the University of Northampton are undertaken in English and to gain admission you must be able to demonstrate that you have achieved a suitable level of English proficiency. You can do this by obtaining one of the results shown in the table below. 

 

Please be aware that UNIC are also able to accept selected additional English qualifications that are not mentioned below, so please contact our admissions for further information.

Courses to improve your English

If you do not meet the above English requirements for your chosen course, it may be possible to study Pre-sessional English at the University of Northampton. Upon successful completion of your Pre-sessional English course you will then join your chosen academic programme at UNIC.

 

Students need to have IELTS for UKVI in order to study a pre-sessional course. The number of weeks you require is dependent on your current English results. The table below details which course you will need to enrol on to achieve the IELTS entry criteria to join UNIC.
