First Year Pathway in Fashion Marketing
The Fashion landscape is continually changing, making this a fascinating arena in which to develop knowledge and understanding of the application of marketing. You will have the opportunity to gain vital professional experience and contacts at key events including London Fashion Week, Graduate Fashion Week in London, The Clothes Show Live and New Designers.
Graduates are provided with the skills and knowledge needed to secure jobs within this highly competitive graduate marketplace and Fashion Marketing students work alongside fashion, surface and accessory design students to develop the skills and understanding needed to forge partnerships between business minded and creative people.

Business environment/ Context
With more and more graduates going on to set up their own small business or develop a new idea in an existing organisation this module introduces you the basic skills needed. Including practical exercises such as creating a business plan for investors, managing cash flow and developing a marketing plan, you will learn the terminology using in business and put it to use. Assessment is through group presentation, individual and group reports, and examination.
Interactive Learning Skills and Communication 2
As a potential manager in the future, it is essential that all business students have the knowledge of the key organizational financial objectives and responsibilities and of the financial pressure under which they operate. Therefore, this module provides students in business studies with the knowledge of key concepts in accounting and finance as well as how to communicate organizational financial information with different groups of business stakeholders through the preparation of financial statements for different types of business. The module also includes the basic issues in managing organizational costs and budgets.
How will I be assessed?
(Group work, presentations, exams)
You will be assessed through two course works and a final exam.
Building on the topics covered in Business Studies, this module looks at the variety of structures used in international businesses and the different ways that they can be managed. This includes studying management theory, operations management, organisational behaviour and motivation. By completing this module you will have an excellent knowledge of the basic concepts of management and the research skills needed during your first year at university. Assessment is through an essay developed over the first 10 weeks of the module and both open and closed-book examination.
