Studying in a new country can be a challenging experience and so this section of the website is all about what you can expect from your new home. Lucky for you, Northampton is very centrally located and near to some of the UK's biggest cities. London and Birmingham are just an hour away on the train so make sure you take advantage and explore them on the weekends.

Northampton is easy to get to from a number of the UK's International airports. There is a direct train from Birmingham International Airport and London Heathrow, Gatwick and Stansted are also a fairly straight forward journey. Make sure you complete the arrival form for help getting from the airport to UNIC.

Public transport is very easy in Northampton. Buses between the campus, accommodation and the town centre run regularly throughout the day. You can view all the bus services here.

  • Visit the Shoe Museum – Home to the largest shoe collection in the world, this museum also tells the history of Northampton and its iconic links with the industry it is FREE ENTRY!

  • Shop till you drop - Northampton has all your high-street favourites and a number of large shopping centres and retail parks. It is also just 50 minutes from Bicester Village - one of the UK’s most popular tourist destinations and the place to buy massively reduced luxury brands such as Gucci, Prada and Jimmy Choo.
